The Why’s and What’s of Sponsoring an Exhibit

Advertise your business & support local artists

Are you a supporter of a certain artist or fan of a specific medium of art? Show your support and passion of art by sponsoring one of our Feature Exhibit shows. As a sponsor, we would advertise your business on all of the promotional material in print and on the web prior to the opening night for the exhibit. We begin each show with an opening reception where guests, patrons, artists, members of the Hoosier Salon and the general public come to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and the new exhibit. It is an evening of fun, food and art. Sponsorships make this night along with the advertising possible.
Why Sponsor?

Sponsoring an exhibit allows you to support specific artists of the Hoosier Salon. Having a sponsor underwrites the promotion of the featured artists and the Opening Reception of the exhibit. Sponsoring an exhibit also allows the Hoosier Salon to promote you and/or your business through social media, on the sponsorship board shown in the gallery, and through the promotional postcard for the exhibit which is sent out to about 1,000 patrons.

What does it cost to sponsor a Featured Exhibit?
A donation of $500 is the recommended amount for a sponsorship. This helps pay for the mailing and postage of the postcards and for the food and supplies needed during the Featured Exhibit’s opening reception.
Sponsorship benefits include:
  • In-gallery advertisement
  • Online advertisement
  • Promotional material of person/business located in the gallery
  • Great exposure
  • New clientele
  • Promotion of a not-for-profit organization
  • Supporting the arts culture of Indiana and Carmel
  • Ability to choose which show you would like to support
  • Sneak preview of the exhibit and artwork

“Can You See a Song”

“Can You See a Song” Kicks off September 19

canyouseeasong

This photo collage, created by photographer
Mark Foster, shows the last kick off assembly
for the students and faculty of the school.

The Educational Outreach committee of the board co-chaired by Bruce Buchanan and Robyn McMahon is excited to announce the kick-off of the 2014/2015 educational outreach program at the Winding Ridge School of Inquiry and the Performing Arts in Lawrence Township on Friday, September 19th at 9:30 a.m.

The concept created in 2012 by Executive Director Donnae Dole and her staff, combine the efforts of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation’s music program and the wonderfully talented artists of the Hoosier Salon.  The kick-off is an assembly for the 4 through 6th graders of the Winding Ridge School’s art program.  Working with Principal Alicia Harris and art teacher Dawn Heffernan, the 4th, 5th and 6th graders will have the opportunity to participate during the months following the kick off to create their own works of art in the same manner that the professional artists do.

Hoosier Salon artists, Martha Sando, April Willy and Thom Himsel created works of art during the assembly while the musicians played.  It is a wonderful blend of the creative processes, said Alicia Harris, allowing our students to truly think out of the box during their creative process.

*If you are interested in learning more about this program and/or donating art supplies, please call Donnae Dole at 317-669-6051
